DAY 9

Monday MAY 9 2005

Today I woke up and went down for breakfast. I met the new guests at the B&B. The guests, our host, and I chatted about everything. Politics were put wide open on the table. My, my, my! I was always raised to never talk about religion or politics. There is nothing PC about that breakfast table! All in all I spent a nice relaxing hour of socializing. What a way to start the day.

Now I have a dirty little secret to share: I enjoy being lazy. :-)

There, it is out in the open. :-) After breakfast I lazed around peacefully in bed until an unmentionable hour as the rain pitter pattered against the window. That is something that has just not been done on my previous vacations simply because two weeks do not allow it, but I have six months or so. It was peacefully enjoyable to sit and do nothing but daydream for a few hours.

To the rest of the world if they ask I shall say "Well, I have walked between 50 and 60 miles these last few days and my body demanded a rest day." But we know the truth. :-) I can say that I no longer crave pasta on a daily basis now. So, enough lazing about, it is time for a shower and to sort out my luggage and mail my bicycle box back to Jeff.

MANY HOURS LATER...

Well, I spent the whole day listening the wonderful music Jeff downloaded on my laptop as I sorted through and repacked my luggage for my impending bike trip. It pretty much took till late evening.

I managed to find my Swiss army knife. They are very sharp coming straight out of the box. :-0

I never felt it slice me. So how is that office pool going? :-)

Then I went out for dinner because I missed lunch due to packing. A Caesar salad with fresh roasted pine nuts.

My view on the way to dinner.

I called it an early night. All in all and extremely relaxing day. First thing tomorrow I will mail off my bike box.

Favorite Moment of the Day: Listening to all the wonderful music Jeff put on my laptop.

Least favorite moment of the Day: Finding the internet closed.
