DAY 48

Friday JUNE 17 2005

We ate breakfast and went for a walk of the Jewish section of the city. Sadly even the Jewish restaurants are owned by Poles, as only a few hundred Jews now live in Poland.

Its funny, the different cities I have been to.

Paris is romantic, posh, and beautiful; Prague has dynamic and thriving and sometimes thieving culture; Amsterdam is humorously seedy with a fast paced modern vibe; Krakow is an old fashioned, comfortable city, buzzing with history; and Venice is just one big shopping mall with a unique exterior.

But all should be experienced, at least once in your life.

Here are some of the pictures I took today.

Krakow Poland.

Hey, got to keep the humor going.

Krakow, a bustling city.

Me.

He is rubbing is belly. Mmm...

These two pictures are taken where we ate dinner tonight. I include these two pictures here as a reminder to myself about this restaurant. The interior design was quite fantastical. There were no four straight walls anywhere and as you can see by the flooring tiles even the floor was wavering. These pictures do not do it justice in any way. It was by far and away the most fantastically decorated restaurant I have ever seen. It had a wishing well and a dragon. All floors and walls contained movement of some sort. Above all it was very tastefully done.

Some of us went to the square and listened to the concert that played all types of music. Everything from The Lone Ranger to Polish compositions.  We had good food, good company, music, and laughter. Everyone at the table ordered homemade ice-cream and said it was delicious.
